It asks more from your buoyancy, awareness, communication, and decision-making. Cavern diving takes place in an overhead environment, but it has defined limits. The dive remains within the daylight zone, meaning natural light and the exit are continuously visible. Group size matters as well. Small teams give instructors more opportunity to observe your trim, positioning, problem-solving, and communication.
